The SPARK Leadership Team is comprised of participants emerging from the year-long ‘Love Liberate & Launch’ Transformational Leadership Program. They have been essentially living into the mission of The SHINE Expansive over a course of a year. They walk the talk of all you are about to explore.

Daniel Barber is a a multi-talented musical man, creating original music and using music in transformational experiences, celebrations and rituals. When you work with Daniel you naturally connect with your musicality, creativity and expressive potential.

 

 

 

 

 

Jan Trout is a seeker of mystical enchantment and sharer of optimism and grace. After a long illness, Jan has experienced  the journey of becoming anew, finding good health and freedom. Delighted with the birth of her grandson, her love for her own grandmother guides her actions and heart. Empathic with others and intuitive within her heart  are the skills she brings to her life, her family and work as an advisor with Trout Insurance.  With rich creative guidance from Jessica for many years, Jan is revealing The UX2 Project at SHINE in October.

 

 

 

 

Sally DiMuzio grew up in a dancing family, taking the traditional lessons in tap and ballet. After 31 years teaching Health/Phys Ed and Mathematics in public school, a 39-year marriage, and surviving a 2002 breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, she moved from her hometown of Cincinnati to Asheville. Now she finds her joy in helping others who have gone through or are going through cancer, experienced divorce, or have relocated as a single, retired yet still vibrant woman who loves to dance.

Mary Kinsey Hyche is a seeker and healer. She comes from a background of art therapy and yoga which has been made richer through the experience of motherhood. She wants to inspire others to unfurl their true selves through the modalities of art and yoga, strengthening a heart connection with themselves and others.

Brian Jaudon is a leadership coach and consultant based in Greenville, South Carolina. He specializes in helping teams develop the cohesion and alignment needed to fulfill their stated missions. Brian is currently writing a book on the innate gifts we each bring to our communities and the world.

 

 

 

 

 

David Wilcox is a singer-songwriter who makes music that bravely navigates a path through the emotional static of modern life towards a better place. David says, “For me, it feels like when I look out at the world there’s just a need for people to be talking about where they get their hope now… That’s what my music has always been about. These days, there’s so much adversity and loss of hope that anything you can offer that’s on the positive side is a welcome relief.”

 

 

 

 

Billy Jonas (vocals, guitar, re-percussion) is originally from Chicago and has lived in Asheville for 21 years. His first ensemble, the Oberlin Big Bang Theory, was the testing ground for his brand of recyclable, homemade instruments, and neo-tribal hootenanny-ism; Billy honed his songwriting and singing skills in the duo The Billys in the ’90s, and subsequently has performed both solo and with The Billy Jonas Band.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Sally Atkins is a poet, teacher & ritualist. Her Publications include two books of poetry, Picking Clean the Bones & When We Speak. She is Professor of Expressive Arts at the European Graduate School and Professor Emerita of Appalachian State University.

 

 

 

 

 

Howard Hanger spent over 30 years as an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. He left the denomination so that he could continue to officiate same-sex ceremonial unions. Both his father and grandfather were Methodist Ministers, one of whom left the church over his opposition to war and the other got into trouble with the church over his pro-civil rights stance. Howard believes that, as a minister, his mission is to bless and encourage love wherever he finds it and to bring love where it is not.

 

 

 

 

 

Stephanie Morgan, or stephaniesÄ­d, makes music “for the darkness in you that’s trying to find the light.” The band acknowledges the struggle within each human being to connect with other people, authentically and vulnerably, and attempts to make music that conjures the ability to do so.

 

 

 

 

 

Yoshi Arima‘s experience crosses a wide range of mediums, styles, equipment and software but nowadays his best friend is a piece of paper and black pen. After long career in Television F/X, 3D Animation and Video Games yoshi’s life shifted forever after the passing of a close friend. He knew he had to leave the glittery castles of busy-ness and he set out a new journey of re-discovery and expression. The why behind why he always feels the need to create expression became fine tuned down into one sentence: “To honour and inspire the world, one art piece, one poem, one expression at a time.”

 

 

 

 

 

Sajit Greene has developed a unique coaching model that integrates the wisdom of astrology and also draws on many of the skills and tools that she hones in her work as a psychotherapist.  Drawing from her background in  movement and other expressive arts for healing as well as creating personal rituals of transformation, she has recently designed a new format for accelerated work: Soul Liberation retreats. These personal retreats are individually designed to maximize each client’s potential and have breakthroughs that can affect all areas of their lives.

 

 

 

 

 

Fleur van Til is on her own journey to experience a life of joy, beauty and inner peace. She believes that we’re all here to shed our limitations and create our own beautiful life. Alison Downey is on a brave journey into the unknown — a soul pilgrimage of sorts — in Ubud, Bali. Joy Resor healed into her given name, humbly offering peace and joy through her being and gifts under the umbrella of Joy on Your Shoulders. Doc Klein is President of Uncharted Territories, a consulting firm focused on whole systems development for communities and organizations. After a near death experience, Mr. Klein created the One Amazing Year program to engage every member of a community to become more strategic, focus on habits and cooperative projects that lead to significant change in a year’s time. Beth Berry is a writer, whole life coach, mother of four daughters, and lover of the sacred feminine. Geri Littlejohn has been a flute maker for 23 years. That journey began when she met Hawk LittleJohn, a flute maker, while at Duke University. After graduating, the job she thought was being created for her fell through and Hawk asked if she would like to work for him sanding flutes. “We were part of the movement that took the native flute from a folk instrument to one that could be taught in schools and featured in symphonies.

 

 

 

 

 

Asher Leigh is a singer, songwriter, performer, and holistic expressive arts coach living in Asheville, NC. Telling the stories of our hearts, Asher sings from a place of deep wisdom, hope, and connection, while expressing our imperfect human journey. In addition to performing, Asher offers: Life Purpose Coaching, Performance Arts Coaching, Voice Lessons, and Beginning Guitar Lessons. She enjoys helping others expand as much as she enjoys expanding herself!  

 

 

 

 

 

Charlotte (Smith) Savage travels the world as a humanitarian clown and group leader with Patch Adams MD. She explores different places and cultures as a witness and ambassador of love and playfulness. She holds a Masters degree in Transpersonal Ecopsychology from Naropa University. Charlotte loves to write, play and collaborate with others, paint, make things, sing, grow imperfect gardens, and hang out with moving water.
